How does Expressive Baby work?
Expressive Baby is a unique website that brings the power of choice to our customers. We offer a large selection of baby items from moms who need to sell the baby items they no longer need. Buyers shop the store and select the items they would like to purchase. Upon checkout, each item's seller is notified that their item has been purchased, and each seller will ship their item to the buyer.
How do I list my item for sale?
The first step to selling your baby item(s) is to register an account with Expressive Baby. Once registered, you will be given the option of upgrading your account to a seller's account for a small fee. Upgrading your account gives you the ability to sell your unwanted baby items with "Seller Jewels".
Once you upgrade your account, you can list your item using the "Post Item For Sale" link in your account panel. We will walk you through this easy and fun process. You will select the price for your item, upload images, and choose whether or not you will accept best offers on this item.
Once you preview and publish your item, your item will appear in our store, for all potential customers to view and buy.
When your item has been purchased, you will receive a notification that your item has sold, and you will be responsible for shipping your item to the customer. Profits from the sale of your item will be available in your escrow account, and you can choose to transfer the funds to your Paypal account, or have a check mailed to you. It's that simple!
How do I shop on the site?
To shop on our website, you simply visit our online store: OUR STORE. Our store works like any other online retailer, in that you can browse for the items you want, add them to your cart and checkout securely.
Once you complete the purchase of the items you wish to buy, all sellers will be notified that they should ship the items to you at the shipping address you provided during checkout. Once the items are shipped, each seller will notify you that they have shipped your item(s), and will provide a tracking number for your shipment.
What is a "Best Offer" Item?
Expressive Baby is unique in that we enable sellers to select a "Best Offer" option on the items they list for sale. A Best Offer item is an item in which the seller has agreed to accept offers, or bids, on the item. This allows potential buyers who are interested in an item to make an offer on the item. If the offer is accepted, the buyer will then complete the purchase of the item at the price the buyer and seller have agreed upon.
The seller has the option to accept or decline any offer that is made on the item listed for sale. If an item includes a "Best Offer" option, it will appear on the product details page, where buyers will have the option of clcking on the "Make Offer" button, or to add the item to their cart at the listing price.
How do I submit an offer on an item?
To submit an offer on an item which includes a best offer option, simply click on the "Make Offer" button. You will then enter the amount you would be willing to pay for the item. The seller is notified, and has 48 hours to accept or decline your offer. If the seller accepts your offer, you will have 24 hours to complete the purchase of the item. If the seller declines your offer, you still have the option of purchasing the item at the listing price.
What are selling jewels?
Selling jewels belong to Expressive Baby sellers. Each seller is given seller jewels, which they can use to post items for sale on our website. Sellers have the ability to purchase more selling jewels to sell more items on the website. Each selling jewel enables a seller to sell one item on the website.
How do I upgrade my account?
To upgrade your account at any time, simply click on the upgrade account link in your control panel. You may upgrade your account to a Basic Seller Account, a Premium Seller Account, or a Platinum Seller Account. Each account has various benefits and bonuses associated with it. What happens if I purchase several items from different sellers on the site?
When you shop on our store, all items are added to your cart, and you are given a total for all items purchased during checkout. When you complete the purchase of these items, EACH seller is notified that their item(s) have sold. Each seller is then responsible for shipping their particular item(s) to you, the buyer. Once they ship the item, you will receive notification that the item has shipped.
What is a grievance?
If you purchase an item from our store and it is different from the description that the seller has provided for the item, you may file a grievance on the item. You may also file a grievance if you purchased an item and the seller does not ship your item in a timely fashion.
To file a grievance, simply use the link provided in your account panel. Expressive Baby will research the transaction and, if warranted, will refund the amount of your item plus any shipping costs associated with the item.
